Tiger does it again
Posted by Chris

tiger si for kids.jpgI've been saving my Tiger Woods feature story for our home page today, and it turned out to be perfect timing. Not since the likes of Michael Jordan and maybe even Bo Jackson was there a modern athlete with the collectibility of the great Tiger Woods.

He had so many chances to fail this weekend. With his sore knee and his inability to hit many fairways, Eldrick sunk some crazy putts and hung on to win his 14th Major.

This is great for the hobby and should make for some neat UDA pieces to be released in the upcoming weeks.

Tomorrow is Game 6 of the NBA Finals... I wonder if the Lakeshow has what it takes to force the series to a Game 7 in Boston. It will be very interesting to see what these jerseys will sell for on NBA.com. I would imagine that Kobe's shirts will sell for the most, but Paul Pierce's Game 1 shirt should sell for a close second.

This subject has probably already been addressed numerous times but is the 1996 SIFK Tiger Woods card the one to collect for the future? Please help a confused collector.

Thanks,
Jim

Jim,

I don't think you can wrong with the 1996 SIFK card. I would only buy it in high-grade for investment purposes.

If you are looking for the grandaddy of them all, I would stick with the 2001 SP (Auto'd /900)
If you need any other advice give me a call or shoot me another note.
