Sometimes buyers on eBay bother me
Posted by Chris

images.jpegLast night I had a bunch of auctions that ended on eBay. I didn’t sell anything spectacular, just some odds and ends like some Packers signed prints from the 60s. The first person who paid for one of the items sent payment via Paypal.

Now, I normally don’t have a problem accepting Paypal payments, but this guy sent it in the form that it takes like 3-5 days to clear (a pending payment).

I am not a big fan of going to the post office, so whenever this happens, it turns into a bit of a hassle. I like to send all the items at once.

Another thing that really irks me is when it takes some winning bidders a week or two to pay for an item they win from me on eBay. What’s worse is when they take two weeks to pay and then give me the business if I take a couple extra days to send out their item.

I think if a person takes ten days to send payment for an item, then that should give the seller the right to take ten days to send the item.

Breath deep Chris… Ok… I feel better. Sorry for the rant guys, but now I feel better:)

Here you go Chris.

I likewise have had some buyers that have left me rolling my eyes.

One fellow complained that his package took three days to arrive after payment, he said it should of been two days if I mailed it the night payment was made. It actually was only two days, one of the three days was a holiday.

I had one complaint saying that my Autograph Certificate of Authenticity was not notarized. He said that it was common knowledge that all COA'S are notarized. Come again?

Another complained about a $6.95 shipping charge. The only thing was that it actually cost me $10.50 to ship it and the postage label showed this, I guess the buyer wanted me to lose more money.

One guy said he was late in paying because of Hurricane Katrina, his house flooded. Problem was, he lived in Oregon. Those waves must have been pretty big.

Those are just a few tidbits about buyers(most are great), I have a few stories about some sellers too.........
